LO4 Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences
Currently, we are a week from the showcase and things are not looking too great from the dance I’m leading with Ayami. I feel like there is something off with the group dynamics and I will try to address that on saturday when we have our light plot. It has been quite a struggle as I was away on LOA upon coming back from mainland China, so it was quite a challenge to keep up with the other dances and choreographies. However, I think I have persevered through that quite well as I have actively sought for assistance and guidance from the other dance leaders as well as trying to stay afloat academically from the two weeks that I have missed. Another concern is the duet between Ailin and I as both of us were on LOA. We’ve spent a lot of time outside of school to put the dance together and rehearse, and I think it will turn out fine as we are both very determined and willing to put on a good show. I am quite happy with where we are right now, a week before the show. Definitely, there were things we could’ve done differently and perhaps in a better way such as communication with my dancers, but I think I have really developed perseverance and optimism as well as flexibility through these few weeks as stress piled up. In the end, we would just have to do the best we can to bring the best experience to everyone participating in dance showcase!
