CAS is an essential element of the IB diploma program, it provides me with a great channel to reflect on my experiences through which I can develop and grow as an individual.
- Creativity – arts, and other experiences that involve creative thinking.
- Activity – physical exertion contributing to a healthy lifestyle, complementing academic work elsewhere in the DP.
- Service – an unpaid and voluntary exchange that has a learning benefit for the student. The rights, dignity and autonomy of all those involved are respected.
Here are the 7 CAS learning outcomes:
LO1: Identify their own strengths and develop areas for growth
LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process
LO3: Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience
LO4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences
LO5: Demonstrate the skills and recognise the benefits of working collaboratively
LO6: Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance
