WOL Initial Reflection

  • What were your goals and expectations?

I wanted to find a job that interests me because this is my first work experience so I wanted to be able to enjoy the work I do in the company. Also, I hoped to experience something totally new and acquire new skills that might be useful throughout my lifetime.

  • How close to your expectations were the actual outcome?

I could apply for the company I was interested in and I luckily got in so I have no doubt my expectations were fully met.

  • Were you able to meet your goals?

Yes, I wanted to work in marketing company and I’m interested in food delivery  and e-commerce as well so I was able to meet my goals.

  • What have you learnt through the progress?

Firstly, from writing resume to doing an interview were all new experiences to me and I got to have a sense of the procedure of getting jobs. One most important thing I learnt while writing resume and doing interview was that I should be able to be able to present not only my weaknesses but also my strengths to others very well.

  • What skills have you learned or applied?

I applied my skills of being a good interviewee learned when I did the interview to get into UWCSEA. What I learned is how to answer well to the question that ask what my weaknesses are.

  • In what other situations or areas in your life might you apply the same skills and learning?

In the future, I will have many interviews. For example, when I have interview to get into the college, I might apply some skills of being a good interviewee I.

  • What are some of your goals for your World Of Learning Week internship?

– Experience work environment

-learn more about  marketing

-be responsible

  • What might be some factors to consider when defining your goals?

-my skills

-enriching my life experience

-applications in the future

  • After recording your summer internship experience, What would you want to see in yourself as you look back?

I would like to hear employers’ evaluation, which includes my attitude as an intern and works I did.

  • If you imagine yourself at the end of your World Of Learning Week internship, how might you know that it has been success?

From the feedback from my line manager and the teacher who is visiting my work place

  • What might be some things you hope to be more confident in doing at the end of the work experience that you are not as confident doing right now?

I would like to be better at articulating my ideas clearly, especially when I present my ideas to the audience

  • What pieces of evidence might you want to collect to determine the success of your WOL internship?

I would like to hear employers’ evaluation, which includes my attitude as an intern, works I did.

  • What resources available to you might you tap to ensure a successful internship?

My dad knows basics of marketing so I think he will be able to help me learn basics of marketing before my internship. Also, I can also do some research on marketing and food delivery system before the internship.

  • If you could refine it to one goal, what would be the most important one to pay attention to this summer?

I would like to experience work environment, especially observe how group of people from different perspectives and background cooperate and apply their critical thinking skills to solve problems.

Reflection think back on the year

1.Facts

  • We devised the piece as a group
  • We had mime workshop
  • we did monologue

2. Feelings

At the start of the year, when we started devising a piece, I had no idea how to do it or what to do first. While devising, sometimes, even though something came up on my mind,  it was hard for me to organise it. However, we eventually got to complete and perform it successfully and I was so proud of me and my group. Also, I had to write reflections everytime after assessments. `looking back on myself was hard at first but I realised that it is so important for my learning and it helps me make improvements in the future.
