I think her use of digital language (eg “=”) that you don’t exactly know how to read out creates a sense of discomfort in the reader that emulates the discomfort felt by the persona. I think her use of emoji conveys her need for communication (despite the lack of so) which is distinctive compares to the ‘traditional’ poem, which often make use of more traditional techniques.
