Transition Experience

I am David Sun, and I am currently a Grade 10 IGCSE student.

It’s already towards the end of my IGCSE learning program. Regarding my future transition to the Grade 11 IB program, I feel very excited as I am going to be apart of a brand new education framework.

In the meeting with my UAC (University Advising Counsellor), I have explored that various universities have similar entry requirements if I want to pursue studying economics in university, and that is taking IB High Level (HL) Maths Analysis. Also, as Economics course is not required for universities when applying for an economics major, I have opened up an option of medicine by studying HL Biology and Chemistry, as I like science as well.

Therefore, after the UAC meeting, my decisions for IB will most likely become HL: Biology, Chemistry and Maths Analysis, Standard Level (SL): Economics, Chinese A Literature, and English A Language & Literature.

I am very happy to have my UAC as it has made my transition into IB more effective by gaining more information and advice.
