From the 2nd to the 4th of March, I got the opportunity to participate in the annual SEASAC MUN as the delegate of the Russian federation in the most prestigious committee in all of MUN – the Security Council. Over a period of two days, I was involved with rounds of heated debate, making newer friendships, and discussing world issues with some of the most driven and informed individuals I had ever met. Fortunately, in the end, I was awarded the Best Delegate award for the conference, something that made me ecstatic and further motivated me to continue my MUN journey.

Although SEASAC MUN was just one conference among 6 others that I have attended, I believe that it was an immensely enriching and eye-opening experience. This experience opened my eye on the importance of commitment and perseverance (LO4) which I believe I have shown over my 3 years. I have learnt that my persevering and devoting time to something you can surely achieve success. I believe that these 3 years of devoting time to MUN which has been one of my prime interests has definitely paid off in the form of valuable and lasting friendships with fellow delegates and appreciation in the form of Best Delegate awards that I have won for my past two conferences (IASAS and SEASAC).

Furthermore, I believe that being aware of my strength (LO1) of debating and discussing world issues in front of a large audience, which I partly credit to my MUN experiences, I am looking forward to further enhance these and also to look for ways to use these to bring about a positive change in the community.

This experience was indeed immensely exhilarating for me. I look forward to more MUNs and more enriching experiences that can aid me to grow as a person and learn valuable skills, such as perseverance, resilience, and awareness, which I can take forward in the future and use to achieve success.
