I think it is fair to say that everyone around the world is stepping into new territory during the COVID-19 pandemic. Most of us have never experienced such a global issue in our lives before. In the beginning, it felt more unreal that it does real, like a movie. I think we all have been in the mess for a few weeks or even months at this point, and although so many of us are struggling to cope with the hours on end spent at home, we have to take each day one step at a time. It’s been proven that humans have the tendency to talk to other people – we are social creatures, and so I feel like one of the most important things to do during quarantine is to talk to friends and family, as they are also experiencing it, whether it be in the US or Europe. I have found that personally, I need to write down my goals for the day and cross them out as I do them in order to have some motivation each day. It could be a simple thing like ‘do a 10-minute workout’ or ‘read 20 pages’, but crossing it out afterwards and feeling a little more accomplished.
