Winnie Wu- SWOT analysis (reflection)

During the Bintan trip, we have done the fabulous job which brings the benefit and healthier life style to the village. Children over there do receive an education, but we are there to make some of the improvement and advices to them. Our team design an activity is based on self-defence and the knowledge of exercise, then we combine the good-looking (which would able to enrich the students and interest them) activity with group four and turns out pretty well(Group four is more on outdoor exercise collaboration and indoor exercise knowledge). We did really well on adjust time properly, which we depends the timing on student interest. For instance, we decide to shorten the round activities instead of stay with the original plan. However, even we did not write that much weakness for our SWOT analysis, but still there are some improvement that we may made it up to perfect the project. For example, the structure of activity may be changeable since the first goal should be caught student’s eyes (If we did not get there attention then is hard to teach them something). The students that we were facing were young (between 7-12), so the way that we giving the education may be different with us. Therefore, silat could be changed since the kids may know them due to it was there tradition knowledge. Moreover, they may felt bored for it then it did not match our goal. Also, the English chunks that we had made could change to the simple one since English is not there first language. All in all, the project that we were doing in Bintan is well-developed, and mostly everything goes pretty well. We do match what TIF wants and needs successfully. I hope there are the opportunity that we are able to meet this project and bring the need to people who really needs help.
