This year I was head of AV for the schools Culturama Dance Show.
LO 6 Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance
We were exploring the theme ‘unexplored’ as compared to the previous years. This meant representing under represented cultures. The music itself had to be very authentic. We were conscious of not misrepresenting cultures or appropriating cultures.
LO 4 Show commitment to and perseverance in your CAS experiences
During the week of the show, I was at school till very late each night to ensure the music and everything went of smoothly. I also had to give up some weekends to practice with the dancers. Additionally I spent time working on the music outside of the meetings and show week in order to get it working very smoothly.
