Human Rights Day

For human rights day, we had been split up into partner groups to create different posters focusing on the issues of Iran, especially about the protests of Mahsa Amini (the picture above is one of our posters). The posters were put up on the plaza and these were also whiteboards with questions such as “What are the long-lasting consequences of the political protests in Iran for women around the world?” and “How does our school mission guide us to respond to this crisis?”.

On the day of the event, we were providing students with whiteboard markers, not only to answer the questions mentioned previously but also just to get to know more about our service and focus overall.

Independent Women's Day

For Independent Women’s Day, we has started preparing long ago, collecting interviews from everyone both in and outside of the UWC community answering questions related to women, of how times have changed and how have jobs with women differentiated from the past. After that we been able to put those clips into a whole video. This video was played throughout the whole school, and was even going to go on the UWCSEA Instagram page but was unfortunately turned down due to some editing errors.
