China 1

This year’s China 1 dance is lead by Chloe Leung and Xinyue Deng.

To portray the journey of the development of the now 5000 years of Chinese culture, we have provided 3 dance pieces in our performance. From the hardship journey to a celebration of our success by using a variety of dance styles, as well as the incorporation of swords, a traditional Chinese dance apparatus. We were personally inspired by the variety Chinese culture could provide. Not just in music but also in aspects such as food, entertainment and lifestyle. Through presenting all sides and possibilities of Chinese culture, the school’s 50 years motto ‘There’s more in us’ is connected to our choreography. The rich cultural history is something that can’t be forgotten in the development of modern day China. We are excited to take on this journey exploring the diversity of culture.
