COSTA RICA

This performance consists of 3 dances all of which stem/are inspired by Costa Rican dances and the culture which arises with it. We will be performing a traditional ‘Cumbia’ dance which involves a partner dance combined with beautiful red skirts and from here we will transition to a salsa dance, which with involve another partner dance and very intricate movements with our arms, hands and hips. UWC is about bringing people/communities together, so is the traditions and stories which come forward with Costa Rican traditions and values. And our final dance will consist of a take on a salsa-jazz fusion dance. We hope that in all 3 of these dances the idea of community and tradition shines through whilst also being enjoyable for audiences to watch. Muchísimas gracias!
