This year’s India 2 dance is lead by Shreya Gurusankar and Arundhati Rane

India 2 is a dance that celebrates the beauty and vibrancy of dance styles unique to all four corners of India – North, South, East, and West. In celebrating the 50 years of UWCSEA, we were inspired by the celebration and integration of Indian culture into the UWCSEA community and wanted to create a dance that honours traditional Indian styles as well as celebrates a fusion aspect, as we aimed to represent the ways in which Indian culture is celebrated as well as integrated into our diverse, international community! The styles we use include: Bharatanayam Fusion, Bhangra, Sattriya, and Garba.

The villages in the adjoining valley provide abundant opportunities for learning and community engagement.
