As the CAS process begins, I’m looking forward to moving deeper into my IB learning, and this 2-year course I have in front of me. After experiencing the first half-term of grade 11, I have been able to recognise the shift between IGCSE to IB, especially regarding the speed at which content is taught, and the difficulty of the content. I hope to learn new study strategies that will enable me to power through IB, pushing myself as far as I can.
In regards to CAS, I already know what I am going to be doing to fulfil the requirements, piano, basketball, and local service – with my goal being to gain the leadership role which I applied for. What I hope to get out of CAS is the benefit I gain from healthier living and from being ‘forced’ to do reflections. I believe that reflections are quite helpful as they ensure you think of what you nee to improve on, and do to move forward, helping to achieve a holistic/all-rounded approach to learning.
