Since the CAS process has begun, I feel like I’ve been able to grow a lot in my learning in all 3 aspects: creativity, activity, and service. The CAS process ‘forced’ me to increase my participation in all these activities, however, has been a highly positive experience as it has allowed me to reflect on my strengths and weaknesses throughout the season. These reflections allow me to figure out my next steps as I continue my CAS process. I believe these conversations are also highly beneficial in being able to actually talk through my ideas with my mentor, allowing me to deepen my understanding of my own skills and abilities, consider new next steps, and grasp the importance of CAS.
This conversation consists of me reflecting on my positive and negative experiences so far, discussing things I have enjoyed and am looking forward to with my mentor, as well as things that have not gone as well, that I believe I still need to improve on, and how I’m planning to do so.
