I am happy with the interdisciplinary approach I’ve taken in considering both the biological and philosophical aspects of the topic. I feel that by including moral considerations of the issues and not limiting the analysis to the scientific challenges has given me a new perspective that I didn’t fully appreciate from the scientific research material. I also liked that I was learning to make new connections each time I reviewed the research material so keeping an open mind to new ideas is key. However, I would have liked to have developed some of the sub-issues further (e.g., whether an embryo is a human) and be more concise in my approach. I learnt that the entire process of research and writing is very dynamic and that your first draft is never perfect. It is also important to be organised in managing your research material and disciplined about what is relevant and what is not.
