Initial: Dragon Volleyball Club

Dragon volleyball club for season 3 started this Monday on the 19th. I joined because I played volleyball in my previous school for a season and I really liked the aspect of teamwork. In comparison to tennis, which is a sport that I have been playing for five years, volleyball requires collaboration and each individual to perform their best in their specialized position. I think I was able to learn the skills faster because the form of serve and spike is similar to tennis.

I am one of the newest players on the team, so I think this will be a challenge for me. Everyone has more skills compared to me and knows the rotations. The rotation that we use in East is different from that of my previous school’s so I think it will take some time to adjust to the new system. However, everyone is very helpful and try to help me often. Hence, I hope to get used to it and become a stronger player very fast.

Another challenge will be time because it goes from 6 pm to 8 pm on Mondays and Thursdays. It requires me to make use of the time before that efficiently to finish my work, especially because it will go on until the end of the year and before mocks.

Unfortunately, I will not able to join the U19 tournament because I have SAT. But to conclude, I hope I will be able to learn and improve my volleyball skills and acknowledge the importance of collaboration/teamwork along the way.
