Science Sustainability Reflection #1

Initially, we decided not to prioritize any specific lifestyle aspect, and chose to base our recommendations solely off of the information we obtained from Mr. Scott (our client) during the interview. We developed quite a wide range of questions that spanned many different topics, and felt that we got everything we wanted (and even a bit more) out of the interview. One challenge during the interview was coming up with additional questions, though this didn’t really impede us too much. The key takeaways from the interview were that our client seldom uses public transport or reusable bags, and that meat and travel are very important to him, among others. We decided to split our recommendations up into four sections, which range from potential MRT/Bus routes, sustainable airline choices, vegetarian food options, etc. The next step is gathering sufficient research supporting our recommendations up that will convince our client to change parts of his lifestyle.

  1. I like the way you describe your research as being really reactive based on Mr Scott’s lifestyle. How did yo decide how to split the work between your group members throughout this process?
