What aspects of CAS are you looking forward to?
If I wasn’t looking forward to all aspects of CAS, then that would basically defeat the point of doing CAS. The whole point of CAS is to partake in activities and services you (hopefully) enjoy doing, so that you see it has an opportunity and not a burden. That being said, the two aspects of CAS I’m most looking forward to are my guitar-related activities (ITP and Bersama House Band), and MUN. This is because they are activities I have not done in the past, and I’d like to try something different to keep the year exciting.
How might you plan your year of CAS in order to maintain balance?
I made sure to choose enough activities to make sure I’m being proactive and engaged, but not too many, which would have resulted in me feeling overwhelmed and ultimately led to a resentment of CAS. When signing up, I knew I wanted to have at least one free day with no activities, since it’s important to take breaks and de-stress, and this day turned out to be Friday. This makes for a pretty balanced week, with 4 days of CAS in a row (Monday-Thursday) followed by 3 days of rest (Friday-Sunday), before getting back into it again. On paper, this sounds like a good balance, and I’m confident I can make it work.
