The first time I held a DSLR in class, I was a complete stranger to it. I didn’t even know how to turn it on. On the first day, we learnt about aperture and how to use it to your advantage. I was struggling to successfully use it to make my background blurry. I faced many failed attempts in getting the camera to just focus on the main object or person. I tried taking pictures from different angles, in different settings, but never got the desired picture. After numerous failed attempts and help from my peers, I was finally able to take the picture with the main focus on my object. I think with further practice I will be able to use it more comfortably and strategically to make my pictures stand out.
