I had my first engagement today – an interview with Georgia McCafferty, former Thought Director at the Economist in Singapore. The audio is attached here.
This was a very useful first interview – Georgia had a lot of insight into local media and the political implications of it, and the conversation provided me with a lot of straightforward information and answers to some of the direct questions. She had a wide scope of sources – referencing some wider questions about the power of fearmongering in the media, the legitimacy Singaporean legal and political system, and how COVID-19 has been impacted by globalisation. These tie really well into my key concepts for the report, so Georgia’s perspective was invaluable here.
