Over these past weeks, I’ve been in the process of choosing my IB subjects, and in turn, cementing the path I will saunter (crawl, more like) through life. Well, I think so (they tell us not to think like that).

My final subject choices were: HL Physics, HL English Lit, HL Math Analysis, Indonesian Lit, Computer Science, and Economics.

I spent quite a bit of time debating between HL English, HL Math, and Economics. I initially had Economics at HL and English Lit at SL, but I really wanted to have an essay-based subject at HL to keep my options open (because my HL package looked like one geared only towards engineering). So I elected to switch HL Math with English, but after consideration, I realised that doing that would close even more doors. So instead of that, I switched HL Econs with English, which ensured that I had a wide variety of choice when the time comes.

I am disappointed that our holiday is a week early, probably because I want to postpone studying as much as possible (not because of the effort, but because of how I’ll realise the magnitude of our exams).
