End Of The Year Reflection

A graph of my confidence compared to with time.

For next time, I will be more committed to mathematics. At the start of the year, I wasn’t serious at all but after my first mini quiz, it was time for me to work harder.  I remember that during the December break and the exam period I was spending most of my time practicing maths and I feel that that was hit or miss moment. By this, I mean that if I hadn’t worked hard at that time, then, I would have struggled in class and wouldn’t build my confidence at all.  Personally, I feel that I learned the most by helping my classmates the most as I feel that is where the real learning comes from. Learning by memorizing formulas and not implementing it into solving problems then I believe that it is a waste. The most interesting aspect for me so far in this course was learning calculus. Since it is a vast topic and we learn a lot such as related rates, implicit differentiation, I found it quite fun to learn with my friends. In the future, I can use the skill of resilience and critical thinking when I will be working. It doesn’t matter which profession I will be specializing in but I will definitely be using some of these skills. Some skills such as resilience and focus are important to acquire in order to be successful in mathematics. I feel that I have grown as a person over the past 10 months and I will cherish these moments spent in class later in the future when I look back to all the learning in a years time.
