I think that poems and songs are both very important in our society. People use poems to communicate their feelings and emotions without having to talk. It’s a way of expression, and in many times has messages that the creator wants to send to the audience. As part of self-taught lessons I’ve been reading different poems of an Israeli poet Dahlia Ravikovitch. Her life wasn’t easy and her loneliness, confusion, and feeling of not belonging are reflected through her songs, although in many of her poems she describes the wonderful feelings she has when she writes, as if she is in another perfect world, the writing and her imagination were what helped her go through the rough times and allowed her to express herself without the fear of being judged.
