Four friends and I have decided to plan our CAS project by going to Vietnam to engage with all 3 strands of CAS. We are about to embark on the trip, and are extremely excited to be going to Vietnam, a new country for all of us. Initially, we had a lot of trouble with planning our project, because we were hoping that we would be able to work with Green Umbrella, situated in Cambodia. Due to heat waves, however, we were unable to do so shortly before our completed plan was due. I think the resolve that all members of my group showed in addition to the fact that we depended on each other so well really reflected learning objectives 3, 4 and 5, because under the intense time pressure we were still able to plan a coherent and hopefully productive trip.

It was really exciting having a common goal with all my friends to undergo this project, because although we faced a huge challenge, I think we were still able to work around it and really plan a trip that I’m looking forward to, achieving learning objective 3. Although unexpected, the radical change showed us our true spirit as a team, and also showed how we can collectively work together and persevere to plan a trip.

We fly out soon, and the next two reflections will hopefully make me realise how far we came as a group, and how fantastic this project will be.
