Initiate and Plan CAS Experience

Planning for Project Week involved a lot of preparation. We went to Luang Prabang, Laos and had to plan flights, accommodations, budget, activities as well as fulfilling our CAS requirements while we were there. Planning our own trip was a new experience as previous school trips were organised by UWC, so having to organise our entire itinerary was a challenge. We also faced restrictions such as time, budget, and having to liaise with 3rd party providers. Initially there were difficulties in choosing which company to provide activities, as we had to talk to a few different companies and discuss their activity packages, as well as keeping within budget and school guidelines. To get approved, we had to acquire different safety, health and policy forms from the companies, which is something I had not encountered before.
