The Concept of Context

The definition of context is “the circumstances that form the setting for an event, statement or idea and in terms of which it can be fully understood.” These words imply that there is much more to context than what many think, examples of which include the numerous assumptions, judgments and values that people use to analyse situations. We also briefly touched upon the idea of satire, and it’s difference from traditional comedy.  Moreover, we began looking into our own context, seeing what traits and experiences mould our judgement of the world.
