Jakarta Street Kids is a global concern group which works with organisations in Jakarta such as the XS project to help raise money for children living in poverty specifically of those who collect trash as a living in order to provide them with basic access to facilities such as hospitals, shelter, water and also provide them a scholarship so that eventually they are able to get a better job and break the poverty cycle.
I attend these sessions every week as I am apart of the events team which helps organise different charity events for our global concern in order to raise money to send to our partners back in Indonesia. I am intending on visiting the site and our partners during Project Week so we can deepen the connection with our organisations but also to have a better understanding of the situation and see what we can do from there.
