Singing – reflection

Below I have a recording from one of my audition pieces, Can’t help lovin’ dat man from Showboat. The song is a piece about love and lust, this song ha pushed me as a singer in a new style of musical theatre that required a lot more control and technique. The song conveys a striking message about not being able to fall out of love, the moments in the piece that find new instances to change the way one pushes themselves in relationships. Having spent time on the piece for months as well as other contrasting numbers to maintain a flexibility in my vocal ability has been challenging yet enjoyable.
