Misinformation + spread of misinformation at the highest level. There’s a switch from satire to fake news. Nowadays due to lack of context, satire walks a fine line (between fake news and what’s taken as a heavy direct attack). An opportunity is lost.

People against people rather then people against/commenting on those with “power”. This creates a change in the power dynamic of satire, therefore changing its purpose. Displays a larger divide between the people. Purpose of de escalation and spread of awareness. Satire requires context in order to understand it. Now due to tensions satire is seen as direct attacks.
