Woyzeck Halfway Reflection #LO2 #LO4 #LO5

On Saturday (6th Nov) was the first Saturday-Rehearsal for the play. It is still a bit difficult since nobody knows their lines (including me to be honest) and we have to think a lot about what we are doing in each scene, so that we don’t forget something and the acting can be improved so much.

Nevertheless, it is fun. We came closer as a group, doing jokes and banters which makes a nice vibe. Raniyah is a great director, she has many interesting ideas!

It is a challenge for me to get into the character of the doctor which I can not relate so much to but that’s the thing of an actor, I guess?

LO2. Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.
Getting into a character I cannot particularly relate to, is difficult, but we’re learning new techniques and get help how to make it.

LO4. Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences.
It’s very exhausting to have rehearsals every Tuesday and Thursday after school, for 2:30 hours and I sometimes wish to be able to skip, not because of the activity as itself but because of the high amount of focus that is needed.

LO5. Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively.
Together, we are developing “tableaux”, building up new ideas or at least executing Raniyah’s ideas. But we do collaborate a lot.
