Hi, my name is Wooseop, and I joined the school in grade 9. I took Cambridge International Mathematics in extended level and Additional Mathematics in IGCSE.
My main feelings associated with the mathematics is curiosity since there are still more things that I don’t know than things I know. The curiosity inspires me to work hard when I learn new concepts. On the other hand, I feel quite nervous to start the high-level mathematics, because I believe that the curriculum is deeper than any other math courses that I have taken before. This will mean that the course is going to be challenging and that is why I am nervous to start the course.
I would put myself around the middle but a little closer to the left, since I prefer someone explaining to me only when I learn new concepts. Once, I learned what the concept is, then I prefer working things out by my self.
When I am ‘stuck’ in maths, usually I ask my math teachers for help, as they will provide detailed solutions based on accurate information. However, if I can’t ask the math teachers for help, then I look for the answers with detailed solutions. Then I make notes on my notes and I always come back to that question just to see if I can solve it without looking at the answers.
