I’ve been to countless orientations, sessions and introductions since I first looked into starting here at UWC. School starts Monday, this is what I know walking into it:

1. Opportunity – There are so extremely many clubs, sports teams, academic groups, shows (culturama may have caught my eye) I’m not sure where to begin. I hope to take full advantage of everything available here, but also look to stop myself from biting off more than I can chew.
2. Technology – Writing this blog post on a brand new MacBook Pro is an obvious sign to me how much technology will be involved in my two years here. While I’m excited to learn more about such a crucial and inevitable thing of all our futures, I begin to doubt it will ever become comfortable to me (much more of a pen and paper kind of person at the moment).
3. Social Life – Over 200 students! I’m beyond excited to meet new people. Everyone I’ve talked to so far says there is countless opportunity to spend time with different personalities, backgrounds, ideas etc. and no one seems necessarily confined by a certain group of ‘clique’ they can’t branch away from.
