Light plot:
The light plot rehearsal was on a Saturday 🙁 but I knew it was important to go for the dance leaders, also because signing up for culturama in the first place was a commitment, and it would be irresponsible not to see it through. The light plot was tiring and repetitive, but also important for us to be focused so the committee could sort out lighting and give us pointers. We’d only been there 4 hours when they’ve spent whole weekends organising the show, so cooperation was the best for everyone involved. the light plot was good for several reasons:
Improving the dance – there is only so much the leaders can do with us in the dance studio
Reminding us of how close the show is – keeping us on task, a little bit of pressure is useful
Giving us a taste of what culturama will be – a good source of motivation and excitement overall 🙂
