Shakespeare – Ways by which emotion is evoked and significant of dialogue

Dialogue:

Act 2 Scene 2: Lady Macbeth says, “Help me hence, ho”

In this scene, Shakespeare diverts everyone’s attention including the audience away from Macbeth. He make all wonder if Lady Macbeth is fainting out of guilt or instead out of cunningness.

Act 2 Scene 1: “Marry, sir, nosepainting, sleep and urine” dialogue.

In this scene, Shakespeare adds a lot of humor into the play by speaking of a Porter’s experience with alcohol in a comical manner. This is a break for the audience from the usual gore, suspense, and murdering omnipresent in Macbeth.
