LO3/LO6/LO5:

We had just finished out big event of the year Swimdonesia. This event is a collective effort between 3 different Global Concerns in our school, namely: Surfaid, Gili Eco Trust and Jakarta Street Kids. It took a lot of effort and planning to ensure that this even ran smoothly, and it paid off. It was fairly easy to determine our success as there were many people who showed up to both swim and have fun and enjoy the festivities. We had many people volunteer to swim laps to contribute towards raising funds to support the Global Concerns, and many more who bought food and merchandise as well. In a followup session, I will go over with my Global Concern group a SWOT analysis  which analyses strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. This will enable us as a group to more effectively plan for future events. The event as a whole enabled us to raise money to help the activities being conducted by the various Global Concerns, and thus I was able to help people who are in need of the support and care that the Global Concerns provide.
