Badminton – old or new?

Heyhey,

I picked up Badminton since I used to play it with my mom as kid and… I am not good with any sport that has the word “ball” in it. But I like the idea of playing something.

I hope the game will help me improve my physique and give a new insight to more competitive sports. Already in the first lesson, I understood that there are a lot of things I thought I knew, but do not. Like when I need to hit the ball with the racket. Right now I use to much force and actually hurt my shoulder a little bit. I like that in sports there are clear indicators to see your improvement. I guess learning to hit the ball correctly is the first one for me!

It comes out that Badminton is also, in a weird way, challenging me mentally. Right now I am in a group with 9 and 10 year olds, who it comes out, annoy me a little bit. The more tired I get as the training goes on, the less I can put up with them. So I either have to advance quickly or learn some breathing exercises. Another place to improve in.

Anyways, let’s hope for quick improvement and calm mind.
