Personality Type

The personality type that I was ‘diagnosed’ with is ISFJ. I-Introverted, S-Sensory, F-Feelings, J-Judging. I think that this personality test was generally quite accurate to my personality, but fails in the lack of nuances that you can be in-between types as well. While I do enjoy being introverted and spending some time alone, I also enjoy getting to know new people in school and being chatty. In school, I generally am quite a social person, I seek my friends and have several groups of people I feel attached to. When I work on projects or assignments, I find it much easier to work step by step, aiming to complete the task in an ordered manner makes it easier for me to process.

Your strengths may include:
  • Thoroughly researching information and collecting relevant facts
  • Making thoughtful decisions based on practical considerations
  • Conducting organized, well-planned-out research
  • Being a good listener and not dominating the conversation
Your blindspots may include:
  • Being too humble, and not presenting your accomplishments in the best possible context
  • Appearing to be less enthusiastic than you may really be
  • Not being open to explore possibilities that don’t fit your current plan
  • Not anticipating how decisions you make now may affect you in the future
  • Lacking objectivity when making important decisions

I think that the strengths that are displayed here are pretty accurate to what I personally feel are part of my strengths as well. Because I prefer to first have the information and then make a decision, upon meeting a new problem or area of knowledge, my first inclination is to research then try and find solutions. Another advantage of this is that because the research I do is in an organized manner, it usually makes it easier for other people to externally look and interpret.
