The government eased restrictions which meant we were back on the field playing the SCA (Singapore Cricket Association) league. I was promoted to the senior division 1 team called SCC tigers. This meant I was playing alongside experienced players in their 20s and 30s, that have played high-level international cricket. This meant I needed to prove myself from the get-go. One gap in my game was my ability to hit quick runs from the beginning, and my pinch-hitting ability. I worked on that in the nets during the offseason, by ensuring I followed some key pointers to successfully hit long. I went in the middle order and we needed 35 runs to chase in 4 overs. I ended up hitting a 6 to finish the game off scoring 15 of 12 not out. This gave me confidence in the practice I have done and hope to carry this forward for the rest of the season. This challenge pushed me to develop a new skill in the game of cricket.
