This famous journalist has interview huge names the world of sports such as Manny Pacquiao… He has also the sports caster on the show “sports centre” of Asia. This is a huge honor for any sports caster and is currently considering as a bucket list item for each and every sports caster.
His presentation was about the importance and technique of asking the right questions to get the best answer possible from the interviewee. His presentation highlighted the 5 essential steps.
Number one:
Do not ask closed questions. These kind of questions may result in very specific answer with less detail. Furthermore, the answer could even be yes or no. Never ask such questions
Number two:
Set the answer free
The best question possible is when it starts with “how does it feel”. This may not be the most professional but definitely the most effective.
Number three:
Don’t interrupt
Interrupting the answer would break the flow and you many not get the best answer
Number four:
Listen to the answer
Listening to the answer will result in the best possible follow up questions which might be the difference better a good story and a bad one
Number five:
Be a single shooter
Don’t ask two questions and the same time no matter how important they are. The first question is always forgotten and never answered
