EE Reflection

Since the beginning, I knew that I wanted to do a physics EE. I felt that this was a great opportunity to go outside what the syllabus entails and go deeper into certain phenomenons and theories that I found interesting. This led me to choose from several different subtopics in physics. But, in the end, the 2 most interesting topics for me were motion and light. Thus, I did further research into the topics and I found one phenomenon in each topic and stuck out to me. These were Frustrated Total Internal Reflection (FTIR) and Magnus Effect. However, both had there pros and cons. The cons for FTIR were that it is an obscure topic with lesser uses. While Magnus Effect was found in many areas in life but is extremely hard to experiment and measure. Thus, my next step is to conduct preliminary experiments for each topic to check which one is better suited for an EE.
