If I were to research this topic again, I would organise a more effective plan that detailed which studies would be discussed in each section. I would do this as I initially spent too much time on my introduction and incorporated unnecessary information and not enough time on my conclusion. This may have led to having more equal in length arguments. However, I feel that the theories that I chose I would keep the same as they fit well with my question and helped support both claims. The strategies that I used for my research involved creating a table for my studies and theories and critically analysing them. I believe that this was the most effective way for me to organise my research and critically analyse my studies and theories in a way that I was able to transfer into my extended essay. As a result of my research, I became increasingly aware of the negative impacts of social media use and wondered about the unknown long term potential impacts that it has on young children who begin to use it at a very young age, as these impacts have not yet been studied.
