We’re going to do the video essay.

I think the final post will be mostly done by Sophia (our media-coordinator) meaning the video editing. However, the rest of us will help in laying out the formats and brainstorming the content.

Which future-ready skills will you use during Project week, and how can you capture them in action for your post?

I think we can show teamwork and resilience through perhaps talking about our growth through the trip and the new skills we’ve developed.  We can maybe do a vlog style where we talk about our initial feelings then our final feelings with working with the kids to help the current 10th graders understand and perhaps intrigue them into wanting to grow in certain areas. For example, I don’t particularly feel comfortable around children but I think the trip will change my view and feelings around them.

What do you need to document during the week? Be Specific, create a checklist for you to refer back to. (ex: who will it be important to interview, which questions will you ask?)

  • Video of the surroundings
  • Video of Chumkriel Language School
  • Footage of the children
  • Footage of an interview with some of the staff perhaps

How can you balance what the service provider AND future grade 11s might want to see in your final reflection?

We can do a 50/50 split for example 6 minute footage for each stakeholder (service & future grade 11’s).
