LO1 –  Awareness: Increased awareness of strengths and areas for growth

I ended up taking a much-needed break from track and transitioning to a more middle-distance focus. I wanted to explore different events, and in doing so take more accountability for my health and training. I found out that my iron and Vitamin D levels were low, which correlated with some of the exhaustion I was feeling during training. I started taking supplements to combat this problem. Further, I incorporated more recovery into my schedule, performing rope stretches and foam rolling in an attempt to reduce injury and increase mobility. This ended up being relatively successful, and contributed to my overall health and well-being, something that I had previously neglected to prioritize in my running career.
