U19’s Tennis Team: Winning GOLD

This season, me and my tennis team won the gold medal for ACSIS. ACSIS is a tournament in which all international schools participate. This was the first season as captain that I have led my team to victory. Winning gold meant beating all the other international schools, including Dover and SAS.

I feel as though this season especially, has built my character as through wins and losses, I have not only learnt more about resilience and hard work, but I have also learnt about team spirit and what it means to carry a team to victory. These skills are extremely important, not just on the tennis court, but can be transferred to the classroom.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

LO4: As the season began, I was unable to find the rhythm I needed to win matches. By working with my coach and training hard outside of school, I found my game and for the first time as captain, lead the team to its first victory, moving us up into division one of the ACSIS league.
