The first few weeks of music are a lot calmer and slower compared to my other subjects. We have been focusing more on creativity and building up our foundation of skills for composing and creating music. I really like music so far, compared to IGCSE we have a lot more freedom to explore and experiment with whatever music we want.

The first week was about adapting music to a different style or genre. we did this by having laid back jam sessions which allowed us to express our ideas through our instruments. Last lesson we learnt about sequences, which led us to make our own melody and incorporating sequences to it.

Through this music program, I wish to learn a lot more skills and techniques to write my own music as well as have more confidence to perform in front of an audience.
