[Service] #LO2: Cognitive Rehabilitation in Apex Harmony Lodge

#LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, develop new skills in the process.

For the last session before the half-term break, our service group had a 30-minute google meeting with the Apex Harmony Lodge and asked few questions before planning and starting out the sessions with the residents in Apex Harmony Lodge.

As there were a lot of us relative to a computer that we are communicating with the Apex Harmony Lodge, there were some challenges for us to carry out the interview session under the social distancing circumstances. However, we decided to let each student sit right in front of the computer and ask questions one at a time so as to ensure that everyone had a chance to interact with them.

From this session, I was able to develop new skills such as managing and preparing interview sessions with a large number of people with some restrictions through google meet, and the skill to kindly approach to them rather than directly asking the question immediately in order to facilitate the session in a comfortable atmosphere, enabling them to freely answer what they think to the question I have asked. I also have learned that the way of approaches can differ the way the other group react to the questions as well from this.
