#LO6 [Creativity]: Solar for East – Solar Panel Installation

#LO6: Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance.

On the 18th of November, Solar for East, a student-led initiative group that aims to install solar panels in the campus, had a session installing solar panels on the rooftop of the campus. As a member of the Solar for East, I have participated in the session.

This session was in fact my first time to install solar panels ever in my life. Since elementary school, I was always exposed to the issue of climate change, consistently learning how problematic it is.

However, before joining Solar for East, I have never taken direct action towards climate change, which made me feel guilty as someone who is aware of the issue and how it is exacerbating as the time goes.

Therefore, the installation of solar panels and doing it by myself has made me reiterate about the significance climate issue and felt as if I am making one step towards sustainability. I hope that I and my Solar for East team reach the our goal: installing 500 solar panels in the campus. 😉
