What do I Wish My Teachers & Peers Knew More About Me?
I think something that I may want my teacher and peers to know more about me is how I learn. This is because, in a classroom environment, knowing how we each like work and learn can increase efficiency and it can be beneficial overall. For example, I like to collaborate with others and go through topics with a group to discuss my ideas with and to hear their perspectives. However, I also find that it is useful to reflect and occasionally work individually.
Something else I may wish my teachers and peers to know is some of my strengths and weaknesses. One strength of mine is that I am resilient as I believe that I am able to persevere through challenges and even when I may not understand something or get stuck, I take my time to understand the topic and find my way around the issue. However, one of my weaknesses is that I am not a great self-manager. I find it hard to balance my time between academic, personal and social life which can result in problems such as completing homework last minute. Another weakness I have is that I am not very creative. I find that when doing tasks, I lack creativity. For instance, I do not make a conscious effort to think creatively. When doing presentations or reports, I always stick to the simple and straight forward way of researching and presenting my information instead of finding different, possibly more interactive or overall creative methods, to showcase my learning.
