I did a part of the play Curious Incident as my monologue in the middle of this year, which is a brilliant experience.
There was no group work, I stood on the stage the whole time by myself.
I memorised the whole A4 paper of the lines.
I felt this was a wonderful experience that really gave me a sense of ‘presence’ on the stage which I took away the confidence and emotional effect that I learned through the performance. It impacts me a lot in the aspect of being confident and not afraid of performing in front of people with verbal expression — also the idea of reacting instead of acting when performing a play.
